Super Fudgy Flourless Brownies
Whole food... plant-based... brownies? Yes, please!
Santa Barbara native Nathalie Giller, recipe creator and founder of Whole and Honeyed, shared these dreamy flourless brownies with us, and we’re so happy to share them with you!
With less than ten ingredients, these whole food brownies are quick to whip up and are sure to perk up your taste buds.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp almond butter can substitute any other nut butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips plus more for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl add mashed bananas, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla. Stir the liquid mixture until thoroughly combined.
- Next, add in baking powder, baking soda, salt and stir. The brownie batter should be smooth and silky. Then, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan, smooth out evenly, and top with more dark chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. When a knife comes out clean, remove from the oven, let cool, then cut into even squares and enjoy!
